One Solution to Many Problems

One of the problems with media, and perhaps society today, is the tunnel vision that they have when it comes to important issues. One debate seems to detract from all others. It forces us to be come singular thinking, as in order for us to feel that our most important viewpoint is heard, we think we have to repeat and rehash it again and again, much like our media does. The marketplace of debatable issues is seemingly very competitive.

As the complex beings that most of us are, we have the ability to consider multiple issues in the context of the big picture of modern society. As news is presented by the media, we tend to become distracted from the issues they are not talking about. Remaining ignorant to these problems can cause them to become worse.

When we look at the full scope of problems facing our world today, we may find that our many problems have similar solutions. While more considerate conversation is required, I think these solutions can be broadly summed up with just one phrase: Love your neighbor.

The Bounds of Authority

For the naysayers who say we should not question authority too much.

1981:Bollow v. Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, 650 F. 2d 1093, 9th Cir.: “ All persons in the United States are chargeable with knowledge of the Statutes at Large. It is well established that anyone who deals with the government assumes the risk that the agent acting on the government’s behalf has exceeded the bounds of his authority.”

The Eyes of Another

The world toils, each one working towards their own idea of perfection. The achievement of all dreams lies within the space where we agree and see each other for what we are.

Complex beings speaking softly reach farther than screaming cheats. When we reach we meet to see what this thing is all about. No need to doubt or judge, if you can see a part of yourself in another, you can see the whole thing.

High above the world a beautiful bird flies, singing of a time to come, a perilous journey and a love for the world. It's feathers are shining, blinding those who wish not to see. Only by choice can we find the thread that leads to peace. Not for the sake of ourselves, but for the sake of one another.

We are each entrusted with the choices that make up what we become, this cannot be taken lightly, as in the light of the sun we find our breath and our destruction. Again choices must be made, thoughts tailored to fit the bodice of our destiny. Shall we live in fear or can we share in the gifts that we receive?

If you believe you can make it so. A leap of faith, not only in God, but in self, gods wax and wane fueled by our emotional choices.

Unite against fear, against sloth, against complacency. When we refuse to progress or decline, we lose our minds, and our chance to learn. Even if we wait to watch this burn, fire cleanses and births a new consciousness. In this choice we are bound to one another, much like the binding of love.

Burn out impurities, separate the chaff, not to lose ourselves, but rather to find each other. The judgement of creation begins in the eyes of another. From there we find forgiveness or death. If this is your last breath, would you rather take it all in, or send it all out? The choice is not made now, you must simply maintain your space and wait for the time. Accept or deny, in our last moment choices lay where they lie.

Your Power to Change

The first step in changing yourself is the desire to change. Once you can decide what you want and set a goal, the road to change begins to materialize. The second step is genuine effort. While no one has all the answers to their problems, the only way to eliminate possibilities and narrow in on your solution, is to try things. If you never try, you can never know what works and what does not. Though many have tried to write it, there is no book or words that can solve all your problems. You have to write those words yourself. It's called the Story of Your Life. When you sit at down at the end of this life, how do you want it to read?

Flush out the Flu 2013!

Are you one of the many Americans who is sick this season? Epsom salts is cheap and really helps to flush the system gently which in turn supports immune system health. Drink a teaspoon in 8 oz of hot water daily and take a bath with two cups thrown in up to 3 times a week for best results. There are only two ways to eliminate waste in the body, the digestive system and the lymphatic system. Epsom salts encourages both systems to function at their highest capacities. It's an easy remedy and has been around for a long time. Another thing to consider when drinking it, if it tastes really bad, that means you are really acidic. Disease thrives in an overly acidic environment. As time goes on and you drink it everyday, eventually it will taste like water with nothing in it. This is the easiest/cheapest way to tell that you have balanced your ph.

There are no real dangers from ingesting epsom salts, but keep in mind, it is considered a laxative though a mild one. It takes the water you drink and helps carry it to the intestines, rather than being absorbed higher up in the system or processed through the kidneys/bladder. Drinking enough water daily is always important. I find epsom salts to be gentle and therefore is my 'favorite' laxative. It works really well if you combine it's use with other antibiotic, antiseptic, etc. herbal remedies. Basically, cayenne/vinegar/garlic/etc. will kill bacteria/viruses/etc., and the epsom salts and water washes out the 'dead' residue. The immune system will also 'kill' bacteria/etc., so epsom salts all on its own is still really beneficial. That being stated, one should not take any mild laxative longer than three months daily or you can risk over atrophy of the intestinal muscles creating an even worse problem. The first time I tried it, I drank it for three months with no problems and I felt a whole lot better overall. I usually will do a month long run with it every year or so. If you know someone who has really bad digestive issues and becomes dependent on laxatives, drinking lemon juice in water is a good way to gradually wean yourself off. Check out your local pharmacy or health food store to find it!

The Strength of Years Passed By

This life is a strange and beautiful thing. Full of joy, full of sorrow, full of choices. As one thing continues to die and degrade another is only just being born.

Expression through sound reaches to the soul, expression through light teaches us to evolve. Forever changing, growing, seeking light, finding darkness, and on again.

The next challenge lays before us while the last lingers for a moment longer. Grasping for intelligence, falling into emotion, wrapped in life, forever sinking to the ocean floor. You dare not ask what it's for, but we must. After all, we've only just scraped the crust.

We see potential and we know fear. It is everything. It is nothing. All for naught, in poor taste, what a waste, or was it? It begins again, nature renews and loves each cell. It can be your own secret hell, or heaven. This time try counting to eleven.

Or maybe just three, and jump off. Trying something, trying anything just to feel again. Is that a friend? or an enemy? time tells us which and in a stitch, its over. Only to begin again, this time remembering little, but carrying the strength of years passed by.

Sigh.....

The void fills and choices will be respected. Time revolves, problems solve and we feel joy once more. Now its time to open the door and walk through. If we only knew what lays beyond those mists. We clench our fists, and try. Time passes by then ends. Did you learn the meaning of a friend? Or love? Take off your gloves and really feel it, stealing away one more chance to reveal it all.....and if you do fall, don't forget. Sometimes the memory is the best chance we get.

That is what I believe

Sam Cooke,  Ray Charles and James Brown are considered the beginnings of SOUL MUSIC

Fela Kuti coined the term and developed the sound of AFROBEAT

REGGAE is a genre developed in Jamaica that is regularly associated with Rastafari practices

GOSPEL MUSIC can be broken into two sub catgories

BLACK GOSPEL is derived from BLUES, SLAVE SPIRITUALS,      AND HYMNS

WHITE GOSPEL is derived from shape note SINGING, and HYMNS

Any music played with a connection to one's spirit, can be GOSPEL
That is what I believe

I believe in the GOSPEL of SOUL MUSIC. I believe in the pure righteousness of sound. I've realized everything is better with a real connection to art and love. I'VE LEARNED THAT ITS ALL RELATIVE. I know now that what I am capable of in my art, I am capable of in ALL THINGS. The complexities of my life are simple when you break the beat from the melody, take the harmonies apart and realize that life isn't you or what you do it is the power of your love, the power of your soul, the power of your heart, the power of your mind. And your abilities to lend strength, promote peace, hold love, give love. I have wings to fly but I must remain ROCK SOLID through my flight. I have love to give and must do so FREELY. The sum of the whole is only as great as the least of its parts. I must take my weaknesses and upon them build strength. I must be patient in my efforts, for while life is fleeting, it goes on. I must be like a child. I must be like the one hundred year old man. I must be like you. I must be like me. There are lessons everywhere in life, the answers and TRUTH are apparent to those who SEE. SEEK. TRUTH.

Hold on. Try harder.
